At Tactical LEDs our primary goal is to provide high quality lighting and visual acuity products to our customers. When we started out; we were hungry for information about the new technology that has changed flashlights and has brought us better, brighter and smaller tools to improve our vision in low light environments.
Tactical LEDs has a primary focus on Law Enforcement and Public Service Professionals, who routinely use flashlights to perform their jobs. Like you, we searched the internet to see what others had to say about these new tools. It did not take long to get an education about lumens, candlepower, CREE, LED, HID and many other terms and acronyms used in the flashlight business.
The best source of knowledge we were able to find was the community at Candle Power Forums. Candle Power Forums or CPF, as it is often referred to, is a community of flashlight enthusiasts that discuss, what else, flashlights. At CPF you will find flashlight users from around the world discussing, probably every flashlight in production and those that will be coming out in the future. In fact, we still gain a lot of our knowledge from CPF. Often times, CPF users will know about a new product long before our own manufacturers tell us about them.
Recently we have had a very large number of our customers request that we conduct flashlight reviews on our site and provide recommendations. Well, we do that through our customer service department and we are always here to offer our thoughts on a particular product and how it will meet your needs. You are always welcome to email or call one of our representatives and we will be glad to help.
When we considered conducting our own reviews on the site, we looked around the internet and found that a lot of "Flashlight Review" sites were nothing more than link pages that were trying to lure you to a sale. Well, we know you are going to buy at some point; but first you want some knowledge about what you are buying. We have decided, that rather than trying to reinvent the wheel or offering you a sales pitchy review to buy from us, we refer all of our customers looking for solid honest flashlight reviews to Candle Power Forums. The users there are real honest people that have used, touched, tried to break and reviewed the light you are considering purchasing. They also hold nothing back about discussing which companies are good to buy from and which ones are not. You will find folks from all walks of life from the very high tech to regular folks looking for advice.
