The PowerTac E5 is the ultimate LED flashlight for patrol and general police related activities. It is compact yet powerful, and provides huge amounts of useful light for building searches, vehicle searches, traffic stops and anywhere a lot of light is needed in a small package.  It fits nicely in your pocket on your belt or in your duty bag.
Features
  • Cree XM-L U2 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours
  • Uses two 3V CR123A batteries (Lithium) or one 18650 rechargeable battery (Li-ion)
  • Digitally regulated output - maintains constant brightness
  • Copper base plate for more efficient heat sinking
  • Reverse polarity protection, to protect from improper battery installation patent
  • Temperature control current to avoid the over heating on the surface and protect the driver from being damaged
  • Slip-resistant body design
  • Removable Stainless steel clip
  • Tactical tail switch with momentary-on function
  • Made of durable aircraft-grade aluminum

Operation

  • Power on/off switch press the push button half way for momentary on.
  • Press the bush button completely (click) to turn on the flashlight. The light will stay on until the push button is pressed fully to turn off
  • To switch functions: Loosen and tighten the head for next stages from firefly to low, medium, high and strobe
The E5 has a safety circuit to protect the driver and the LED from overheating.

Awesome compact flashlight. Mounted to patrol tac vest...light weight, easy to use and powerful beyond belief. Lights up a hold field at night or can be used to light up interior of a vehicle durng a traffic stop...and weighs what feels like less then 1 pound.

Bought this light based totally on John's recommendation & liked the first one so well that a second was ordered two weeks later. Three well spaced levels (extra low, medium, high) + turbo for maximum brightness. One of the best UI's available today. Pocket clip is much stronger than 95% of similar lights. Same size or slightly smaller than a Surefire E-2 so it carries easily in the hand or pocket.

One of the very best 2-cell lights I've ever owned & that includes a large number of Surefires.
